business philosophy

We Start by Understanding… It's very exciting to be in the event staging and production business today. As theatre stagecraft is melded with modern event technology, we see the coming together, the amalgam, of crafts and tools that are a full expression of history and an acknowledgement of our future. Like nowhere else, you see the coexistence of hammers, saws and paint with digital media and IT, computerized show control with hoist and motors, satellite and webcasting used with the rigger's knot, video cameras and wireless communications along side the fire light of a welder's torch. In this regard, our full service event staging business has been very instructive.

Dream Builder

We integrate and employ so many different skills and tools that we were able to escape the common thinking trap that would convince us that our tools are the product. Our tools, inclusive of the audio, video, lighting and scenery equipment, in the hands of skilled craftsmen, artists, engineers and planners are simply used to assist us in shaping the experience.

It's About the Experience...
Our belief that "it's about the experience", and that the experience is really our product, has become a call to action on many levels at ProStage, for as we came to see, "the experience" is linked to everyone else's experience. We concluded that if we were to have the best product in the industry, we must set out to increase the quality of the experience for every single person involved, raising the bar together, and that it must be founded in the culture and the processes. It's a very inclusive and holistic view. So whether you're the audience, presenter, meeting planner, producer, travel staff, convention service manager, venue staff, security, ProStage technician, office staff or vendor, your experience in dealing with ProStage is important to us, as it is seen as integral to the quality of our "product".

Our Company History

ProStage, Inc. was incorporated in 1991 with the goal of providing superior staging services for the industrial theatre market. The owners and key personnel that comprise ProStage brought with them experiences acquired through many years working in this particular area in addition to activities as broad ranging as rock and roll touring, theatre, education, computer programming, photography, broadcasting and A/V services. The outcome of this blending of talent has resulted in a dynamic, insightful and creative company.

ProStage opened its second office in Lanham, MD in September of 2001. The latest expansion includes our Las Vegas office, opened in early 2007. Our aspirations and abilities have lead ProStage to become a nationally known and respected staging company providing audio reinforcement and design, multi-camera production, image magnification, large venue data/video projection, lighting, computer show control, scenic design and construction and project management for corporate presentations and entertainment. Although we have often filled one or two of these roles, it is our ability to integrate these technologies and personnel into an organic whole that sets us apart.

Throughout our corporate history, ProStage has worked nationally in 44 states and internationally in Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico and throughout the Caribbean. The work ranges in scope from small medical conferences to national touring events, from street festivals to stockholder meetings for fortune 500 corporations. Our clients are wide ranging and their needs are equally different and yet the big picture view always brings us back to the same core requirements… professional, courteous and knowledgeable staff and state-of-the-art equipment.
