ProStage, the Orlando based event technology company, announced it has purchased a number of the brand new Grass Valley Digital Disk Recorders. The Turbo iDDR (which stands for intelligent digital disk recorder) is the latest product from the award-winning Grass Valley company.

Some of the main features of the unit include HD and SD video content capability and the ability to record and playback simultaneously on one record and two playback channels.

"DDR technology is where the video industry is going", says Cliff Ferris, ProStage's Director of Staging. "As a standard, we transfer all of our clients tape rolls to DDR because we like the accessibility the technology provides. The Grass Valley units achieve this while also providing a record channel". ProStage will also offer the Turbo iDDR's to its cross rental clients.
