Orlando, FL
“Our Time is now” was the theme of another successful show in February 2008.
ProStage
Inc. blended four Christie projectors in
collaboration with the Catalyst media server
by High
End and a Whole Hog II console.
Four - 10.5’ x 14’ Rear Projected screens were used with a 20’ x 40’ scrim in the center stage. The scenic was comprised mainly of soft goods with 6- Martin Mac 600 Washing the scrim and 6 Martin Mac 700 Profiles highlighting the drapery.
Digital media gave ProStage Inc. the
flexibility needed to transform the look of this screen set into street corners featuring newsstands in cities from across the United States. The CEO wanted to open the event by reading newspaper headlines featuring their company. The ProStage team took still photography and incorporated it with set pieces. The CEO appeared to walk from City to City buying and reading newspaper headlines on Stage. The headline was switched onto the screen after each staged stop. Audio of street sounds filled the ballroom reinforcing the theme.

With the quick maneuverability of the Catalyst, the Lighting Designer was able to accent the presentation by displaying the key points of the speech. The Key points were projected center stage on the scrim during the Power point slides on each side of the stage. To add interest, The IMAG was either on the inside screens or outside screens and periodically switched spots with the actual Power Point slides. ProStage Inc. worked closely with the Technical Director and Producer of the show to bring new interest to this corporate event.
